The exact price in India of the Samsung Galaxy Camera has not been revealed, but the Android-based device is now available for pre-booking through the official company website. Besides this, prospective users can also head to online retailers like Flipkart and Infibeam to reserve the snapper.
The imager can be picked up in shades of black or white. Those interested in laying their hands over this Android camera through the online Samsung store will have to pay Rs. 3000 in advance. But when we last checked, the device was out of stock. Customers can even call up the Infibeam store to place their orders and sign up for receiving notifications from Flipkart regarding its arrival. The South Korean manufacturer has not revealed its release date as yet.
The key highlight of this device is its ability to offer support to the 3G network, allowing users to quickly upload their pictures and videos on various social networking and video sharing websites. Moreover, it even comes with built-in Wi-Fi for access to the web if there is an open hotspot. This snapper also boasts of Dropbox integration that ensures all photos are backed up to the cloud automatically as soon as they are clicked.
Gorging on the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system, the Galaxy Camera flaunts a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear TFT LCD multi-touch display of 1280 x 720p resolution. It is fitted with a 16.3MP BSI CMOS sensor and can offer 21x zoom. The auto focus shooter with ISO sensitivity of close to 3200, is powered by a quad core processor that clocks in a speed of 1.4GHz. Needless to say, it can record 1080p videos at the rate of 30 frames per second.
This gadget is compatible with SIM cards and is embedded with a 3.5pi 4pole connector, a stereo jack and an expansion slot that can support a microSD card of up to 64GB capacity. It tags along multiple shooting modes, scenes, an optical image stabilizer as well as features such as AllShare Play, S Voice, S Suggest, Video Editor, Photo Wizard, Gallery. The camera is pre-loaded with applications like ChatOn, Instagram and Paper Artist too. Its 1650mAh battery can cough up standby time of about 280 hours in the 3G mode.
