Photographers in India may find the Nikon D3200 DSLR camera easy to use as it claims to offer the company’s digital imaging technology with simple functions like the Guide mode. The improved picture quality and the HD video recording capability of this device can be attributed to the 24.2MP CMOS sensor as well as the Expeed 3 image processing engine. It will be released in shades of red and black.

The lightweight and compact DSLR shooter has been deployed with the Guide mode to assist amateur photographers. Its Wireless Mobile Adapter WU-1a facilitates connections with smartphones running the Gingerbread platform, Android 3x based tablets and other smart devices for wireless transfer. The camera comes with full time auto focus and the continuous shooting mode at the rate of 4 frames per second. Its ISO range of 100 to 6400 makes it capable of clicking images even in poorly lit conditions.

“As the Indian photography market matures, we are witnessing strong growth for the DSLR category. The launch of D3200 is aimed at giving consumers more choice, thereby helping further develop the photography culture. We believe that the model will strongly appeal to youngsters and amateurs who are looking to shoot high-quality images at high sensitivities. The D3200 would help strengthen our position as the market leader in the DSLR segment with over 55% market share. We believe that the eastern market would be a key contributor to our national growth,” quoted Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Nikon India.

The Nikon’s D3200 DSLR’s ability to capture HD 1080p videos at the rate of 24 or 30 frames per second allows users to create cinematic quality videos, which can be viewed on big screen HDTVs through the snapper’s HDMI output. Moreover, the manual or automatic exposure control, Nikkor lens versatility, full-time-servo AF mode for moving objects and low-light performance all work towards enhancing the quality of the recorded videos.
