The freshly disclosed lineup of Dell Inspiron z series, R and R Special Edition series is dedicated to the student community. Potential users can opt from different options of third generation Core i processors and the Windows 7 Home Premium OS with an eligible upgrade to Windows 8.

First off, the 14z Ultrabook employs Intel Rapid Start technology for faster boot time and claims to survive a battery life of almost 7 hours. Presently, it is available in a moon silver hue, while the fire red variant is expected to arrive sometime later this summer. The 13z is touted to function for almost 7 and a half hours before needing to be juiced up. Broadband services like Dell NetReady are also thrown into the amalgamation for connecting to the internet while trudging through no Wi-Fi zones.

“As families prepare to send their kids off to school this fall, they need a laptop with reliability and performance. The expanded and redesigned Inspiron family helps parents embrace technology and make a smart investment in their children’s success,” commented Sam Burd, vice president, Dell Personal Computing Product Group.

The Inspiron 15R and 17R laptops are each equipped with a high definition display, Waves MaxxAudio 3 technology and a range of memory as well as hard drive choices. As an added attraction, the range offers color switch lids to personalize the computing experience. The integrated Intel Wireless Display option allows audio steaming to a compatible home theater system with 5.1 surround sound.

The Inspiron R Special Edition laptops feature a full HD display rendering visuals in 1920 x 1080p resolutions. Besides this, the series is also integrated with Waves MaxxAudio 4 audio suite and Skullcandy speakers. As far as graphics are concerned, the 15R and 17R Special Edition devices incorporate AMD and Nvidia solutions, respectively. With an exterior draped in anodized aluminum, the laptops also provide Blu-ray disc choices, backlit keyboards and optional mSATA SSD devices.
