The latest Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS4 digital camera featuring built-in GPS, comes across as a rugged outdoor companion due to its capabilities of withstanding water, shock and freezing temperatures. It will be available in four color options of orange, blue, black and silver.
Besides integrated GPS, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS4 has been included with a compass, an altimeter and a barometer. The dustproof camera can work in extreme temperatures as low as 14ºF, resist drops from a height of up to 2 meters and is waterproof to about 12 meters. Featuring a 12.1MP hi-speed CCD sensor, it is equipped with the Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens with 4.6x optical zoom. Moreover, the LSI Venue Engine for image processing helps reducing noise for better photo reproduction.

A successor to the Lumix DMC-TS3, it even incorporates Sonic Speed auto focus and lets users adjust settings such as shutter speed and aperture. In-camera modes like Intelligent Auto mode, time lapse shot, miniature effect and panorama shot further enhances the pictures clicked by this shooter. Also, it allows users to capture high definition 1920 x 1080p videos in AVCHD and MP4 formats and is embedded with a dedicated record button.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS4 price is $399.99 (approx. Rs. 19,655). It will be made available in mid-March this year.
