Fujifilm seems to be making sure that those on the look-out for a camera won’t complain about the lack of choice. After the FinePix F80EXR, Fujifilm has come out with the FinePix AV100 and AX200 digital cameras. They are attributed with features such as HD Movie Capture, Automatic Scene Recognition, face detection and high ISO sensitivity levels.

The 12MP cameras flaunt 2.7” high resolution LCDs and proffer ISO settings of up to 3200. They are equipped to capture HD videos at resolutions of 720p in 16:9 aspect ratios. Fujifilm’s optional HD Player Kit contains an HD card reader which connects to HDTVs for digital transfer of content and a wireless remote control for video playback. The AV100 and AX200 integrate Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens and Fujinon 5x wide-angle optical zoom lens, respectively. Other features include Picture Search, Panoramic Shooting mode, Natural Light mode and Digital Image Stabilization.

“We wanted to build upon our ‘A-Series’ camera line promise and provide consumers with affordable digital camera options with robust feature sets,” stated David Troy, marketing manager, Consumer Digital Cameras, Electronic Imaging Division, Fujifilm North America Corporation. “This year, we are pleased to be able to offer HD Movie Capture to consumers looking to buy an affordable, easy to use camera and they will get both with the new FinePix AV100 and AX200.”

The AA-size battery-powered Fujifilm AV100 and AX200 cameras will be out for $99.95 (approx. Rs.4,616) and $109.95 (approx. Rs.5,079), correspondingly. The former will hit shelves this March while the latter will be out within next month.
