Samsung SL820 Digital Camera

Samsung has announced two new SL-series of digital cameras, called the SL820 and the SL620.

The two latest stylish and user-friendly SL-series of cameras feature a 12.2 megapixel resolution and 5x optical zoom for optimal performance.

These cameras also bundle Optical and Digital Image Stabilization to facilitate blur reduction. Users can either activate Optical Image Stabilization for blur-free pictures in well lit environments or select Dual Image Stabilization to combine the potency of Optical and Digital Image Stabilization.

Moreover, there are some automatic controls such as Samsung’s Smart Auto mode and Smart Album program. With the Smart Auto, the cameras can automatically select one mode from 11 scene modes. The inclusion of Samsung’s Smart Album program helps users to effortlessly explore a specific image saved on the memory card. It has the capability to organize and sort images according to the date or week.

Additional features of the SL820 and SL620 include Face Detection with support for up to 9 faces, Blink Detection, Smile Shot and Beauty Shot. All the captured images can be previewed on a large 3-inch LCD screen.

While the SL820 comes with a 28mm wide angle lens, the SL620 bundles a standard 35mm lens. Ensuring high-definition video recording at a resolution of 720p, the SL820 supports HDMI connectivity to connect HDTV through a cradle. It also uses H.264 compression to shoot videos with ease. On the other hand, the SL620 provides compatibility with advanced MPEG-4 video recording at a resolution of 640×480.
