Acer M900, F900, X960 and DX900 Smartphones Launched

Blending both personal and professional needs, Acer has announced the launch of its new line-up of feature-rich smartphones, namely M900, F900, X960 and DX900.

Starting with the Acer M900, the small handheld device is designed for users to conveniently access communications, email and files on the go. Syncing with a laptop or a computer, the smartphone enables users to manage activities and also make use of contacts and files on the computer system.

Based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the M900 allows users to take full advantage of Outlook Mobile email and Office Mobile (Word, Excel and Powerpoint). Additionally, it also features a full keyboard with a large 3.8-inch WVGA touchscreen display, HSDPA connectivity for fast data transfer, an embedded fingerprint sensor for security purposes and GPS. The high-tech and reliable smartphone also comes with entertainment features such as FM Radio, voice recorder, voice-command and a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with flash.

Second in the list is the Acer F900, the slim and smart internet device sports a 3.8-inch WVGA touch screen, easy-to-use touch keyboard and a new user-interface for trouble-free navigation and a superior mobile browsing experience. It is compatible with high-speed 3.75G HSDPA/HSUPA and Wi-Fi connectivity. Some of the other packed features include an integrated 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera with flash, GPS, FM Radio, voice recorder, voice command and expandable memory.

With the supported Internet Explorer 6, JavaScript and Adobe Flash Lite, users can easily access a variety of webmail clients and a host of must-have internet applications. The F900 provides direct access to key applications via the widget-based home screen.

Next in the row is the sleek and compact Acer X960. Touted to be the versatile and functional navigation device, it bundles a high-resolution 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen with a five-way navigation button and an intuitive widget-based user interface to allow rapid access to contacts, emails and messages, browser and bookmarks, calendar and events, date and time, world weather and music player.

The all-purpose smartphone supports Windows Outlook and Office mobile for immediate email access and easy reading of attachments. It also comes pre-loaded with GPS functionality, a VGA 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with flash capability as well as a front-side camera for video calls.

Finally, Acer has also unveiled the DX900 dual-SIM smartphone that is said to offer double connectivity and convenience. Claimed to be the world’s first Dual-SIM Smartphone, it supports both 3.5G (HSDPA) and 2.75G (EDGE) SIM cards for users to maintain their personal and professional life independently.

It is equipped with a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen display, large finger-friendly buttons and a new interface with 3D animated icons and transition effects for effortless navigation. It even includes a 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with flash, a front-side VGA camera for video calls, voice recorder, voice-command and expandable memory.

Moreover, the DX900 is compatible with Outlook Mobile email client to take full advantage of business email and even read attachments with ease. In order to smoothly manage two phone lines and multiple wireless connections, the Acer DX900 boasts the incorporation of an intuitive communication manager such as a Flight Mode button that instantly turns off all wireless connections.

All four Acer smartphones were revealed at the GSMA Mobile World Congress. However, no details mentioned about the price and availability as yet.
