Sony unleashes the Handycam HDR-TG7VE Camcorder

Sony offers customers its latest HD resolution camcorder dubbed as the Handycam HDR-TG7VE. This stylish product is claimed to be the world’s smallest HD camcorder. The Handycam TG7VE has a pure titanium body and has a durable premium hard coating.

The Handycam TG7VE incorporates a memory of 16GB which allow users to store all their precious moments. It stores up to 6 hours of full HD video and stereo sound. More memory can be added with a 16GB Memory stick. With this inserted into the Handycam TG7VE, it has a total capacity of 12.5 hours recording time.

The Handycam TG7VE includes a 2.7 inch LCD touchscreen with a new seamless design. This allows customers to view all their videos and pictures with crystal clarity. The camcorder switches on quickly when the LCD touchscreen is opened. The Handycam TG7VE camcorder is easy to use and has a simple menu system.

For video shooting, users simply need to press the Rec Start/Stop button while for still pictures they can use the adjacent Photo button. The pictures captured are 4 megapixel still photos. There are various other features enabled in the Handycam TG7VE camcorder like Smile Shutter and Intelligent Face Detection. The camcorder also saves battery as it has a standby power consumption of almost zero allowing users to resume shooting quickly.

The Highlight Playback feature enabled with the Handycam TG7VE camcorder lets consumers watch all their video shootings in the form of a mini movie. This is done without the need of manual editing. It automatically selects pictures and videos from the camcorder’s archive and edits them. With stylish transition effects and various musical soundtracks to choose from, the Highlight Playback feature enables users to effortlessly view their captured content.

The Sony Handycam TG7VE camcorder is ideal for travelers as it is portable and slim in size. The camcorder also incorporates a GPS receiver which shows the locations traveled by users. The Map Index view pin-points where the pictures and videos were shot along the different locations by ‘map pins’.

With Picture Motion Browser software, the camcorder allows on-line maps to be acquired on the PC. This allows consumers to retrace their trip while being able to sort pictures and videos on their PC. Uploading digital content onto social networking sites is made easy as well.

There is also an array of accessories by Sony which can be coupled with the Handycam TG7VE camcorder. The VCL-HGE07TB ‘wide angle cap’ which fits onto the camcorder’s lens produces a wider angle to 30mm. Specifically fashioned for the Handycam TG7VE are the LCM-TGA case and LCS-TGB soft carry case. To accommodate the camcorder as well as the optional cables, spare battery and travel charger, Sony introduces the LCS-STA organizer case.

The Handycam HDR-TG7VE Full HD Memory Stick Handycam can be brought by keen customers from May 2009. The price is not known.
