Sony Cyber-shot S750 and S780 Digital Cameras

Sony has announced to release Cyber-shot DSC-S750 and DSC-S780 digital still camera in the US market. Both are entry level models, offering an LCD frame and auto-focus facility.

The DSC-S780 is an 8.1-megapixel camera while the DSC-S750 features a resolution of 7.2-megapixel. Both the cameras feature CCD imagers, 3x optical zoom lenses, and 2.5-inch LCD screens.

Besides they are as slim as 1-inch. For further convenience, the DSC-S750 and DSC-S780 boast seven scenes namely light, twilight portrait, landscape, soft snap, beach, snow and high sensitivity.

The 8.1-megapixel DSC-S780 and the 7.2-megapixel DSC-S750 models incorporate CCD imagers, 3x optical zoom lenses, and 2.5-inch LCD screens for easy framing and viewing of photos.

The new DSC-S750 and DSC-S780 are capable of saving photos of up to 22MB size. The memory can further be expanded with Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick PRO Duo media card.

According to Phil Lubell, director of marketing for digital cameras at Sony Electronics, “Face detection is just one of the technologies we’re introducing to help customers take better photos more easily.”

The DSC-S750 will be available in the US market in silver color by March 2008 for $150 (approx Rs. 5,914) while the DSC-S780 is expected in April 2008 for $180 (approx Rs. 7,097).
