Panasonic adds new DMC-LX3 digital camera to its Lumix LX series

Panasonic DMC-LX3 camera Panasonic introduces a new member to its Lumix LX family of high end and compact digital still cameras called DMC-LX3.

The Lumix LX3 camera features a 1/1.63-inch CCD with 10.1 megapixel resolution, 24mm ultra-wide-angle, LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMICRON lens, 3.0-inch large LCD, Venus Engine IV, multiple-exposure function, 6 color types film mode, 3 types of monochrome and ISO 3200 sensitivity. The CCD provides ample space for each pixel and offers a wide dynamic range by maximizing the size of the photodiode.

The key factor that sets Lumix LX3 apart from the other models is its expandability. The optional wide conversion lens offers maximum wide angle up to 18mm. Other optional components like ND Filter and new PL Filter further broadens the image creating capability. The External Optical Viewfinder provides brighter and clearer viewing.

The LX3 camera includes a battery charger, battery pack, battery carrying case, lens cap, lens cap strap, AV cable, USB connection cable, AC able, shoulder strap and CD-ROM. The pricing and availability is not revealed.
