Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD1000, Ultra-small HD Camcorder Unveiled

In the race to grab the title of World’s Smallest HD Camcorder, Sanyo has taken one more step. Earlier, Panasonic claimed that its HDC-SD7 was the world’s smallest HD camcorder.

Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD1000 camcorder Now Sanyo has announced its latest DMX-HD1000 camcorder, claiming it to be the world’s smallest HD camcorder. It measures 90.0×112.6×54.5mm and weighs 268g.

The latest compact camcorder sports 10x zoom, 2.7 inch screen, HDMI output, supports SD and SDHC cards, USB port and ergonomic adjustable design. It records full 1080p, 1,920 x 1,080 resolution video using the HD/MPEG-4 AVC codec. Furthermore, it also has the ability to capture 8 megapixel images through 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor.

The DMX-HD1000 offers 2 hours of battery life and 1 hour 25 minutes of full HD with 8GB SDHC card.

Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD1000 is slated to start its shipment by mid-September in Japan for ¥120,000 (approx. Rs. 40,000).
