Sony T200, T70 and DSC-H3 Digital Cameras launched in US

Sony Cyber shot Series

Today Sony updated its Cyber shot series of cameras with the introduction of three new devices. Two cameras belong to the T-series namely T200 and T70 while the DSC-H3 is a high end camera from Sony.

The T200 and T70 are sleek cameras featuring touchscreen display, which doubles up as camera controls. The 8MP T200 camera features 3.5” touchscreen and 5x zoom. While the T200 boasts zoom of 3x and 3” display. Besides, both the cameras offer face detection technology and a new technology called a “smile shutter”. This function does not take picture until it’s determined that everybody in the photograph is smiling. Quite an interesting function indeed!

The Sony T200 is expected to be in the market by September 2007 in three colors, black, silver and red at the price of $400 (around Rs. 16,390). The Sony T70 camera will hit the market around the same time at $300 (approx Rs. 12,290). Users can choose their own model from four colors black, white, silver and pink.

Another camera from Cyber shot range is the DSC-H3 which has the look of a DSLR camera. The camera sports 8MP resolution and 10x optical zoom. Also users can connect it to the high-definition television display. Furthermore, the DSC-H3 boasts 2.5-inch LCD viewfinder face detection technology, optical image stabilization, ISO sensitivity of 3200 and Sony’s Dynamic Range Optimizer exposure system. Like the T-series cameras, the DSC-H3 will also be available by September at the price $300 (approx Rs. 12,290). However, interested buyers can place their order online from Aug. 23 itself.
