Today Nikon introduced a new revolutionary DSLR camera named D3. The new FX Format camera features higher sensitivity, increased pixel count and a wider dynamic range.

The D3 camera features 12.1-megapixel resolution, shooting speed of frames-per-second, 3D tracking AF, Scene Recognition System, Dual CF card slots. Also the camera incorporates a 3″ TFT LCD monitor with two Liveview modes.

The camera’s body measures 159.5 (W) ×157 (H) ×87 (D) mm while it weighs 1,390 grams with battery. Besides, the camera body is made resistant to dust and moisture, thus the lifespan of the device is increased.

Some of the other features of the new SSLR camera are:

  • Picture Control System
  • Scene Recognition System
  • Optical finder with 100% frame coverage and 0.7x magnification in FX format
  • CF card double slot
  • HDMI output supported
  • No doubt that this camera is not meant for the common man, and only for professional photographers especially in the fields of press, sports etc.

    Nikon D3 camera will come along with the rechargeable Li-ion Battery, quick charger, USB Cable, audio video cable, camera strap, body cap, accessory shoe cap, eyepiece, battery chamber cover BL-4, USB cable clip and software suite CD-ROM.

    Nikon D3 DSLR camera will be available in the European market by November 2007 at the price of $5000 (approx Rs. 2,04,470).
