The entry-level desktop PC dubbed Lenovo ThinkStation E31 workstation meant for professionals, will soon be made available in size configurations of small form factor and tower PC. Both the mini-tower as well as the SFF variants can be configured with the Intel Xeon processor E3 for enhanced visuals and graphics performance.

The Xeon processors of the ThinkStation can be optioned with the third generation Intel Core i7 processor. It features 1600MHz DDR3 memory DIMMs for multitasking capabilities, while the memory-related failures are taken care of by the ECC or Error Correcting Code memory. Both models extend support to the Intel HD Graphics P4000 or Nvidia Quadro GPUs and run the Windows 7 Professional OS. The mini-tower version offers up to 9TB storage, whereas the SFF can hold digital content of up to 6TB capacity.

The eco-friendly Lenovo ThinkStation E31 workstation boasts of about 92 percent efficient power supply and adheres to guidelines laid down by Energy Star, Plus Platinum, EPEAT Gold and Greenguard. The ISV applications such as Adobe, Dassault, PTC, AutoDesk, Siemens and SolidWorks run smoothly on both variants. Additionally, they are also embedded with USB 3.0 ports for connectivity and faster file transfer.

The tower model Lenovo ThinkStation E31 workstation release date and price stand at June 5 and $629 (approx. Rs. 33,725), respectively. The SFF model will hit store shelves on July 13 through the official web portal and authorized resellers and it will cost the same as the mini-tower.
