Nook HD+

Fans across the globe don’t just have the new Nook HD to consider, thanks to the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ US price and release date details which decided to drop by for consideration. While the former sports a 7-inch HD screen, the HD+ tags along a 9-inch full HD display.

Those looking for a tablet experience on a relatively larger screen could consider the device’s embedded touchscreen, which renders visuals in a resolution of 1920 × 1280p and is capable of streaming clips at 1080p. This laminated touch panel is said to provide optimal viewing angles for smooth multimedia playback. The generously sized slate weighs just 18.2 ounces and this should make it quite convenient to carry around. A 1.5GHz dual core chipset handles its workload and functions in conjunction with 1GB RAM to deliver fluid web surfing and multitasking experiences.

William J. Lynch, Chief Executive Officer of Barnes & Noble said, “We designed our larger format tablet Nook HD+ because we think there’s big demand from customers for a super-light, extremely high quality 9-inch tablet, at half the price of the iPad.”

The elegantly designed gadget will ship drenched in the color ‘slate.’ Tailored in memory choices of 16GB and 32GB, the slab is integrated with a microSD card slot with support for up to 64GB ensuring extra hoarding is possible. To accentuate the overall experience on the newly unveiled tablet, the company has released a number of applications such as Nook Video and Nook Cloud along with a refreshed Nook store. To render quality audio playback, the slab is equipped with customized speakers and it employs SRS TruMedia technology as well.
