Bose has slid covers off the Companion 20 multimedia speaker system for India which promises a new level of performance while eliminating the need for a separate subwoofer. Boasting of ‘natural, lifelike sound,’ the two-piece Bose Companion 20 multimedia speaker system employs new drivers for enhanced audio.
The amplification combines with the exclusive electronics of the system to transmit low notes and higher volume levels. Equipped with new drivers and advanced port, the Bose Companion 20 incorporates the Bose TrueSpace stereo digital signal processing. These 3.5-inch wide speakers can be easily placed beside monitors or laptops.

The electronic equalization along with the digital signal processing reproduces audio without distortion at high volume levels and delivers accurate music at low levels. The circular control pod of the Bose Companion 20 multimedia speaker system allows regulating volume and is embedded with a separate mute button. Besides a headphone jack, the system sports an input port to connect devices such as iPhone, iPod and more.
Bose has also launched two speaker sets dubbed Companion 2 system for PCs or portable devices and the compact MusicMonitor system. Additionally, the Companion 5 system is capable of delivering audio similar to a five speaker system with the help of its two satellite speakers and the Acoustimass module.
Priced at Rs. 14,513, the Bose Companion 20 speaker system is up for grabs through Bose stores, select Croma retail outlets, Apple Premium resellers and the official company website.
