T-Mobile Officially rolls out Sidekick Slide Scarlet Smartphone

Sidekick Slide, which has faced an in and out release in the past, has now made its presence in the market with a fresh new look. T-Mobile has officially announced the launch of Sidekick Slide. This smartphone comes revamped in a scarlet-painted texture.

T-Mobile’s latest release comes equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard, an improved web browser with Java support, a music player complaint with MP3 and AAC music files. Moreover, it also includes traditional softwares that belong to the earlier version of Sidekicks. These softwares consist of T-Mobile’s MyFaves service, email, MySpace Mobile and integrated IM clients.

The additional features of the Scarlet smartphone are as follows:

  • A 2.5″ QVGA screen
  • A 1.3 megapixel camera
  • A microSD card slot that supports up to 4GB of expandable memory
  • In regards to connectivity options, the Sidekick Slide Scarlet handset is compatible with quad-band GSM, Bluetooth and data over T-Mobile’s EDGE network. Weighing 150g, the T-Mobile’s Sidekick Slide Scarlet can deliver a battery life of up to 5.9 hours of talk time or 3.6 days of standby.

    The Sidekick Slide Scarlet smartphone is immediately available online or in T-Mobile retail stores. It carries a price tag of $199.99 (approx. Rs. 7960) with a new two year service agreement.

    Earlier, T-Mobile had announced the unavailability of Sidekick Slide soon after the launch.
