Toshiba NB205 netbooks come to US

The Toshiba NB205 netbook is all set to enter the US market, reports Cnet. This netbook is a redesigned version of the NB200 and has been on sale in Europe and Japan for quite sometime now. The Toshiba NB205 will be made available in two models dubbed NB205-210 and NB205-310. The difference between the two models is that the NB205-310 features Bluetooth while the NB205-210 doesn’t.

The Toshiba NB205 will come with an optional chiclet keyboard and a standard six-cell battery. The USB port will conveniently charge up your mobile devices, even when the netbook is turned off.

This redesigned netbook is slimmer compared to the NB200 but still shares its features. It features Intel Atom N280 processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM which can be expandable up to 2GB. The 160GB hard drive provides enough storage space. The NB205 runs on Windows XP operating system and weighs only 2.9 pounds. The 10.1-inch display is a TruBrite LED-backlit LCD. The netbook also supports 802.11b/g wireless Wi-Fi connectivity.

The NB205 netbooks will be available in the US market, NB205-210 at $350 (approx. Rs.16, 520) in black with a full-flat keyboard while the NB205-310 will cost $400 (approx. Rs.18, 880). The NB205-310 will be available in four colors namely Sable Brown, Frost White, Posh Pink, and Indigo Blue with a metallic finish and chiclet keyboard.
