Samsung P10 Laptop Battery Meltdown, Caught Fire

Samsung P10 Recently, LG had announced its plan to stop one of its laptop models because of a malfunction issue that took place in Korea. Now there’s yet another laptop battery case that’s come up in Korea, and this time around it’s a Samsung laptop.

Samsung P10 notebook PC was reported to catch fire, after the battery melted. It was noticed that the battery began to emit smoke after being used for over three and half hours. The laptop was placed on a pillow. Belonging to a 34-year-old woman, this laptop started overheating before burning a bed and parts of the surrounding floor.

Luckily the blast didn’t blow up into a serious fire, resulting in no injuries. Samsung is in the process of checking details of the incident. It is believed that the ventilation of the machine was blocked leading to an explosion.

The P10 laptop’s battery was developed either by Samsung SDI Co. of South Korea or Toshiba Corp. of Japan.
