4G LTE Wireless U679 Turbo StickThe 4G LTE Novatel Wireless U679 Turbo Stick was recently launched in collaboration with Bell Mobility. Also referred to as the Ovation MC 679 USB modem, this plug-and-play device is all set to provide speeds of 75 Megabits, ranging between 12Mbps and 25Mbps, for Bell users who come under its LTE coverage areas.

As for those users outside LTE coverage areas, Bell claims that its 4G LTE is the first and the only Canadian network to offer them Dual Carrier 42Mbps speeds. The company is also looking to proffer its users, speeds up to 100Mbps, as and when their platform evolves. This Turbo Stick is supposedly the slimmest and the most compact modem available in markets today.

“Launching our new 4G LTE network in some of Canada’s most populous areas including the Waterloo region innovation hub and the country’s largest wireless market in the Toronto area, demonstrates Bell’s commitment to the continued growth of the country’s wireless ecosystem,” shares Adel Bazerghi, Senior Vice President of Products at Bell Mobility. “With award-winning innovation, proven performance and reliability associated with the Novatel Wireless design, we’re excited to introduce our customers to the 4G LTE Novatel Wireless U679 – delivering 4G LTE speeds in a small and efficient form factor.”

The 4G LTE Wireless U679 is incorporated with an internal MIMO receive antenna. Plus, it is backwards compatible with Dual Carrier HSPA+ networks offering speeds up to 42Mbps or HSPA+ giving up to 21Mbps. Both, PC or Mac systems can be plugged into the gadget to enjoy a faster browsing experience.

The 4G LTE Novatel Wireless U679 Turbo Stick is available at Bell stores and online for $59.95 (Rs. 2,961) on a three year term or for $199.95 (Rs. 9,878) with no term.
