Known for its service to navigate, nurture and share digital memories, Eye-Fi has announced world’s first wireless SD memory card, called the Eye-Fi card.
Compatible with digital cameras, the new innovative product makes use of one’s home wireless network to create a easy method of sending photographs directly from the digital cameras to PCs, Macs and even to online photo and social networking sites.
It saves the time of dealing with cables, card readers or software plug-ins that is associated with uploading photos. This new unique 2GB Wi-Fi card has the capability to work with the current SD-compatible digital cameras and store photos in a same SD memory card way, but wirelessly.
“Digital cameras have made it extremely easy to take pictures, but the rest of the process is a hassle,†commented Jef Holove, chief executive officer of Eye-Fi.

First the user needs to follow a simple set-up process that allows the user to select from seventeen popular listed online photo sharing, printing, social networking or blogging sites to share their pictures and further select where on the computer they would like to save their images by default.
Able to store around 1,000 images, the card also supports full-resolution JPEG images. It has the ability to resize the pictures, if need be by the online sites.
