The M100 headset knocked our doors in a neat, recyclable plastic case. In the packaging box, a 100-240v AC charger, a clip-on ear loop and silicone eartips ranging from small to medium accompanied our review unit. The device caught our attention at the first glance with its sleek structure and lustrous finish. The overall appearance is undeniably complemented with its tapering edges. We were elated as the unit’s glossy finish is not an admirer of vexatious fingerprints. It is sturdy and neatly constructed using durable material.

The front side of the headset accommodates the multifunctional call button. The left edge offers adequate space for the power switch while the right edge comes along with the volume button. In order to activate the mute mode, you can long press the volume button. The charging port is precisely positioned on the top edge of the device. The headset can also be worn seamlessly without the hook. The ear loop affixed to the base of the device’s body swivels, enabling you to conveniently use it for both the right as well as left ear.

The LED indicator, positioned on the flip side, will alert you when the headset is switched on and ready to use. We paired the Plantronics M100 with our Samsung handset and were delighted with the quick pairing, not to forget the easy instruction offered by the manual. Moving on, the call quality was not up to the mark. Nevertheless, the dual-microphone noise cancellation capabilities made it quite convenient to listen to calls while travelling from one place to another or when in a crowded place. It managed to avoid the background noises to a considerable extent but we did experience echoing at times. The headset provides us with voice alerts for power on/off, low battery and even on disconnecting and reconnecting to the handset.

The multipoint technology enabled us to pair two Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without any issue. Although our review unit was dressed in a beguiling charcoal gray hue, you can also pick up this device is other shades like electric blue, glow green, sparkle pink and radiant red. The device requires charging of around 30 minutes for two hours talktime and 90 minutes for a full charge with up to six hours of talktime. However, we got approximately five hours of usage on a single charge.

To round it up, competently balancing style and comfort, the Plantronics M100 performed capably and left us with many optimistic impressions. Ideal for those with a taste for elegance, the device is light to carry and sturdy to hold as it weighs just about 9 grams. The included silicone eartips ensure added comfort and certainly proffer a customized fit.
