With a view to augment user convenience while enjoying movies on the Cinema 3D Smart TVs, the LG Magic Remote has been introduced with additional attributes. This latest remote boasts of advanced features which are inclusive of wheel, voice recognition, magic gesture and pointing.

As opposed to most conventional controllers, this LG Magic Remote has been deployed with voice recognition technology. It lets users enter text via voice commands to launch a search which in turn quickens browsing on the Smart TVs. What further adds to its speed is the wheel, positioned at the center that facilitates scrolling through options and applications.

“LG has been striving to constantly improve the comfort and convenience with which our customers use the Cinema 3D Smart TVs. The new Magic Remote is our latest example, incorporating new functions that will make it easier for users to approach and use the Cinema 3D Smart TVs, particularly our Smart TV function which now has over 1,000 apps and a growing abundance of premium content,” stated Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG Home Entertainment Company.

Also included is the pointing feature or Point and Click, which can be used to navigate the cursor and make selections on the screen by pointing it towards the TV without the need of multiple buttons and arrow keys. Another advantage is that the remote can be customized with physical gestures like arm or wrist movements to execute various commands on Smart 3D TVs.

Additionally, the comfort factor has also been kept in mind while designing the LG Magic Remote as it sports an arched ergonomic form factor that makes for a firm grip. Besides all the above mentioned features, this wireless controller has been embedded with a 3D button that converts 2D content into 3D with a single click.

The LG Magic Remote will most probably be released next year and may be showcased at the CES 2012.
