Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 in available online for Rs 17,825

A couple of weeks after the 8-inch and 10.1-inch models went on sale, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has now made its debut in India and is available online for Rs 17,825. The device is the smallest member in the company’s latest affordable tablet series and it offers a good deal of features including Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

Accompanying the latest OS are various enhancements and attributes which are introduced via Samsung’s TouchWiz UX. They include WatchON that provides personalized recommendations on TV listings, an IR blaster for using the slate as a universal remote, Kids Mode which offers a child-friendly interface, multi-user support and Multi Windows for running two apps simultaneously.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 is one fine entertainment tablet. It offers a 7-inch WXGA 800p LCD display on the front along with a 1.3MP camera. The rear dons a 3MP snapper with HD video capture, but there’s no flash onboard. Moving on to the innards, the device is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad core processor like the 8-inch and 10.1-inch models and it has 1.5GB of RAM. For storage, there’s 8GB of flash memory and a microSD card slot.

So far, Flipkart is selling the tablet for Rs 17,825 and above and in shades of black and white. You’ll also find the slate on eBay, but at a lower price of Rs 15,990. The device is yet to be launched on the company’s eStore in India.
