Acer Iconia W510 US and Canada release date announced, slated to hit stores on November 9

Acer Iconia W510

The price and release date details for the Acer Iconia W510 are finally out after the slate made its first appearance back in June. One of the prime features of this convertible tablet is that it can be set in three different modes to optimize the user experience.

For instance, customers can place the device onto the keyboard dock to employ it as a notebook or rotate the lower panel to 295 degrees to utilize the accessory as a stand for presentations. The tablet is equipped with a 10.1-inch 10-point HD LED-backlit display that renders visuals at a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 for preventing scratches. Wrapped in a lightweight design with curved edges, it measures approximately 0.84 inches in thickness and weighs not more than 2.63 pounds on an average.

Dock

The Acer slate houses a microUSB as well as a microHDMI port and rides into town on the Windows 8 platform like the Iconia W700. Apart from a front-facing 2MP camera, there’s even an 8MP AF rear-facing snapper and both allow video recording in full HD. Plus, the latter tags along an LED flash for capturing images in dim lighting. The slab offers Dolby’s Home Theater and built-in speakers for an augmented entertainment experience. Features like a 64GB or a 32GB SSD, a microSD card reader, a G-sensor, an E-Compass and a Gyro-Meter are also included in the specifications sheet.

Rear

The cost in the US and Canada for the Acer Iconia W510-1422 convertible tablet reads at $749.99 (approx. Rs. 39,700) with the keyboard dock and a 64GB SSD. The W510-1674 version will be available with a 32GB SSD at $499.99 (approx. Rs. 26,580). Potential buyers will be able to pick up the tablet in both countries from November 9 onwards.
