While most tablets introduced recently sport a Google Android certification, the Toshiba Dynabook WT301/D is one of the few devices to employ Microsoft’s Windows 7 platform. The tab aimed at business professionals, is slated to be made available in Japan next month.

The technical specifications of this tab have been revealed by TechCrunch. The front panel of the slate is dominated by a 10.1-inch LED backlit TFT multi-touch display that renders clear visuals in 1366 x 768p resolutions. Besides operating with the help of the Windows 7 Professional 32 bit OS, it is pre-installed with Microsoft Home and Business 2010. It acquires multitasking capabilities from the next generation Atom processor, deployed in it.

And what’s more, this slab comes with 2GB internal memory and is incorporated with a solid state drive of 64GB capacity. It lets users capture memories in the form of pictures and videos with the assistance of the 1.3MP snapper which is accompanied by another 0.3MP inner camera to facilitate video calling. Additionally, the device is also equipped with stereo speakers to keep users entertained on the move.

Needless to say, the tablet provides access to the internet. The communication options are inclusive of Bluetooth 3.0+HS as well as Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g/n. The embedded USB slot can be utilized to connect it to various computer systems and peripherals. Also, the slate’s content can be viewed on big screen HDTVs as it sports a microHDMI connector.

The 10.1-inch Toshiba Dynabook WT301/D price has not been revealed as of now. It is expected to be released in Japan, early next year.
