The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime which is equipped with the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor has finally got detailed out in terms of the price. Possessing a thickness of only 8.3mm, the slim device had made its debut appearance last month at the AsiaD: All Things Digital conference in Hong Kong.

The Transformer Prime is touted to be the first tablet to feature the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core or Kal-El processor. Weighing 586g, it comes dressed in two stylish colors namely, amethyst gray and champagne gold. Boasting of a 12-core GeForce GPU and the vSMP technology, this tablet claims to deliver a speedy and rich web browsing, downloading, gaming and multitasking experience to users.

This device comes embedded with a 1.2MP front and an 8MP rear facing camera. It offers users a variety of features such as auto-focus, LED flash, a large f2.4 aperture lens, back illuminated CMOS sensor, touch-to-focus depth of field and low-light noise reduction to provide clear pictures. Video recording in 1080p HD is also possible. This Asus Eee Pad possesses SonicMaster technology that attempts to deliver crystal clear audio.

Nvidia Tegra 3

Offering a battery life of up to 12 hours, the tablet sports a wide 178° viewing angle IPS display coated with Corning Gorilla Glass. It is equipped with multi-touch technology that enables users to easily swipe through pictures, browse the web, type emails, play games and read books. Additionally, this device comes in two versions of 32GB and 64GB capacities, both of which are incorporated with a USB and an HDMI port each.

The 32GB Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime price is $499, while the 64GB comes for a price of $599. Details regarding its exact availability are not yet known.
