MSI WindPad 110W Tablet

The MSI WindPad 110W tablet, a combination of Windows 7 operating system and AMD Z-series APU platform is now shipping to North America. The tablet is integrated with attributes for better security and navigation tools aimed at professionals on-the-go.

In addition to the AMD Z-01 APU, the tablet is equipped with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a 32GB SSD. Fitted with a 10-inch display of resolution 1280 x 800, it has a USB port and a mini-HDMI port which allows connecting the tablet to big screen TVs.

The security features of the MSI WindPad 110W include Trusted Platform Module (TPM) which uses BitLocker function in Windows 7 Enterprise or Ultimate to encrypt files in the device as well as for removable HDDs. The Easy Face software negates the need to remember software as its webcam scans unique facial features to let users log in.

Besides the touchscreen, the Smart Tracker allows users to navigate with small finger movements while holding the tablet from both sides. The SAS Hotkey is embedded to replace the ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del’ combination. Frequently used programs appear on the control panel with the help of the Smart O-Easy application to facilitate instant access.

The MSI WindPad 110W tablet is priced at $599.99 (approx. Rs. 26,620) and is up for presale at Amazon and Newegg.
