Notion Ink clears air about release of Adam tablet

Adam Tablet

The release of the Adam tablet has been trailed by a lot of speculation in the past. According to the official Notion Ink blog, the Adam tablet could hit the market this November provided that it receives timely FCC approval.

Apparently, the device will be out for the FCC certification in the second week of November though nothing seems to be concrete as of now. At the same time, the company does not rule out the possibility of the gadget going in for ratification some time this October.

Notion Ink’s CEO, Rohan Shravan, also mentioned that the release of the tablet in a particular country will depend on the number of Application Developer Collaboration Requests received from that nation. The company also stresses on the fact that purchasing the product online could be a good option.
Though the company admits that they’d prefer to attach a reasonable price tag to the Adam, there are certain hardware barriers to be scaled. Profits apparently lie in a device’s supporting ecosystem, rather than the hardware according to them.

The company’s LCD and PQ variants that are being sold presently are attributed Wi-Fi only as well as 3G connectivity. The price range of these products could read at anywhere between $399 (approx. Rs. 18,680) to $498 (approx. Rs. 23,300).

Only time will reveal pricing and availability details of the Notion Ink Adam tablet.
