The My Book Live Duo takes real time back up of all files by creating a second copy on the fly. One drive of the device is utilized by the saved data, and the other one, by the second copy. Windows users require WD SmartWare software, whereas the Mac fans can create automatic backup with the help of the Apple Time Machine software.
Moreover, both drives can combine to act as a single drive in order to offer larger storage capacity in the spanning mode. Powered by an 800MHz CPU, it is engineered with the advanced Ethernet chip technology. Also, the storage system available in capacities of 4TB and 6TB, is said to clock in read speeds higher than the USB 2.0 interface.
