Toshiba Canvio 3.0 HDDs serve as cloud-based backup

The recently announced Toshiba Canvio 3.0 HDD series come with cloud-based backup capabilities and feature varied storage capacities. The hard disk drives contain a host of functionalities such as easy plug-and-play operation and pre-loaded backup software.

Compatible with USB 3.0 as well as 2.0 ports, the Toshiba Canvio drives employ cloud for digital storage. The pre-loaded Windows-based NTI BackupNow EZ software offers step-by-step, customizable backup capabilities to the cloud and the drive.

Users can create their cloud account with NTI BackupNow EZ by which they are enabled to backup specific folders, file types and conduct a complete system backup to the Canvio 3.0. Additionally, the backup software scans users’ system and files and recommends which files to backup for cloud-based or on-device storage.

The latest range of Toshiba Canvio comes in configurations of 500GB, 750GB and 1TB. Designed with a sleek, glossy finish, Toshiba promises utmost reliability of these drives in storing valuable documents and digital content.

The compact devices provide complete password protection with up to 256-bit data encryption to prevent unauthorized access to data. Each of them equips an on-screen Drive Space Alert monitor that sends an alert when the storage space runs low. The in-built shock sensor and ramp loading technology secure the drives against daily wear and tear.

The Toshiba Canvio 3.0 HDDs are now available at national retail stores as well as online at toshibadirect.com. The 500GB, 750GB and 1TB drives are priced at $89.99 (approx. Rs. 4,465), $109.99 (approx. Rs. 5,458) and $139.99 (approx. Rs. 6,946) respectively.
