After unfurling JetFlash 500 retractable flash drive, Transcend has now unveiled a new 2.5-inch portable hard drive, the StoreJet 25D3. Designed with style and portability, it emerges as a great choice for users who want to carry their important data with them anywhere, anytime.
Adopting the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard, the hard drive outperforms USB 2.0 drives in delivering blazing fast transfer rates of up to 90MB/s/. Under its seemingly sensitive case with gloss piano finish is a shock-dampening system that equips internal suspension technology. This particular technology touts to prevent damage from accidental slips or falls during travel.
The sleek and durable StoreJet 25D3 is backwards compatible with the USB 2.0 connection. In addition, the device features a multicolor LED status indicator, which will turn blue and orange when operating on USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 ports, respectively.
Further, the storage solution comes equipped with Transcend’s StoreJet Elite software, which provides backup scheduling, 256-bit AES encryption and Internet tools.
The new Transcend StoreJet 25D3 will only be available in a capacity of 500GB. The pricing and availability details are yet to be revealed.
