The Pioneer Elite N-30 and N-50 networked audio players have arrived with interesting features such as support for AirPlay and DLNA 1.5, allowing audiophiles to stream their preferred music from various sources. Besides proffering high-end wireless technologies, both the gadgets incorporate vTuner Internet radio, iPhone and Android control apps and come embedded with a 2.5-inch full-color LCD display.
Potential users will be required out to purchase the Wi-Fi and the optional Bluetooth adapters if they intend to enjoy the connectivity options delivered by the audio players. These AirPlay compatible gadgets will not only allow users to access their iTunes library, but also content from apps such as Pandora Internet radio and iHeartRadio amongst others. Additionally, the presence of the vTuner Internet radio facilitates tuning in to over 16,000 Internet radio stations worldwide.
“Utilizing Pioneer’s audio heritage, we wanted to create a networked audio player that can handle a wide range of music formats, including high-resolution audio that enthusiasts and music lovers are now asking for,” states Chris Walker, director of AV marketing and product planning for the home entertainment division of Pioneer Electronics. “These new networked players enhance any digital music so even audiophiles, who love listening to every detail of their music, will find these networked audio players a must-add to their existing high end system. Both models are the ideal complement to any existing home audio/video system that’s missing networked audio capabilities.”
Needless to say, these systems also play back MP3, WMA and AAC audio formats. The players extend support to 1.5 192kHz/24-bit FLAC as well as WAV files when deploying DLNA 1.5. On the N-50 system, Advanced Sound Retriever and Sound Retriever AIR are employed to enhance the sound. Plus, this model also sports an armored form factor designed to resist noise, while the gold RCA jacks are integrated for connectivity.
The Pioneer Elite N-30 and N-50 networked audio players can now be purchased at prices of $499 (approx. Rs. 26,440) and $699 (approx. Rs. 37,012), respectively.
