Razer Tiamat 7.1 Headset

The latest accessory for gamers to enhance their gaming experience is the newly disclosed Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset delivering surround sound. It is accompanied by the 2.2 stereo gaming headset. Both devices aim to give players a realistic feel of the characters’ voices, explosions, gunfires and other game sounds.

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 comes equipped with 10 discrete drivers, 5 in each circumaural ear cup for providing pinpoint positional surround sound to enable three-dimensional clarity. These drivers represent the seven surround sound channels, two for the center, one each for the left and right, surround sound left and right, surround back left and right and two for the subwoofer.

Robert “RazerGuy” Krakoff, President, Razer USA said, “The Razer Tiamat headset range is the pride of our audio engineering, the world’s first 10 driver headset, built to deliver the most powerful, clear and accurately produced positional audio gamers will ever need for the competitive edge. Surprise the enemy trying to creep up for a stealth kill, when you can hear their footsteps loud and clear behind you.”

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset accommodates an adjustable sleek control unit, allowing players to fine-tune the volume of each audio channel, position and bass depth. They can also easily switch between the headset’s 7.1 surround sound mode and 2.0 stereo mode or external speakers. The Razer Tiamat 2.2 possesses 4 discrete drivers out of which 2 are dedicated to bass.

These headsets sport leatherette ear cushions that offer comfort to gamers during long gaming sessions. They also incorporate unidirectional noise-cancelling microphones for refined audio sharpness.

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 along with the 2.2 stereo gaming headset is priced at $180 (Rs. 8,234).
