V-Moda Crossfade M-80 durable and rugged on-ear headphones launched

V-Moda Crossfade M-80

Claiming to hosting virtually unbreakable materials, V-Moda has rolled out its latest highly-durable military-level on-ear V-Moda Crossfade M-80 headphones with a sleeker design, almost 53% smaller than its Crossfade M-80 over-ear sibling. Equipped with two Kevlar-reinforced microphone cables, the device is built from a steel frame, Steelflex headband, interchangeable brushed metal shields, long-lasting microfiber suede and replaceable memory foam cushions.

With natural noise isolation from the V-Port V3 that is touted to provide life-like staging, vibrant bass, vivid mids, vivacious highs and professional acoustics, the device is apparently capable of creating pure and balanced audio output without the use of any batteries or artificial processors over the 40mm dual-diaphragm drivers. Besides its high flexibility, protection to the headphones is delivered from the hard exoskeleton carrying case.

“After years of research, design, and testing, this is truly the finest addition to our acoustic arsenal we have ever developed. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and similarly it took almost half a decade to fuse the durability of an M1 Abrams tank, timeless Vinyl sound, Italian-suit elegance and exotic motorsport materials into the compact Crossfade M-80. In the sound-age of over-processed digital compression and disposable plastic products, our virtues were to develop a quality product that salutes the true masters of music, machines and materials. Ita’s an incredible value for hi-fi sound and sophisticated style that says as much about you as your shoes, watch or car,” commented Val Kolton, V-Moda CEO and DJ.

Stated to meet VMQA guidelines and passed through the MIL-STD-810G military tests, the V-Moda Crossfade M-80 comes with capabilities like a flexible headband which can be bent for around ten times without losing its shape, resistance towards high and low temperatures, humidity, salt spray and UV exposure, and Kevlar reinforced cables which can bend up to a million times.

Capable of surviving over seventy drops onto a concrete surface from a height of 6 feet, the V-Moda Crossfade M-80 headphones feature control options on its cable which can be used on Apple devices and a 24k gold-plated plug. Additionally, the peripheral arrives with a two-year warranty and is compatible on almost any gadget with a 3.5mm jack.

The V-Moda Crosfade M-80 on-ear headphones are priced at $230 and can be purchased from the V-Moda website.
