The Sony Walkman NWZ-W260 series MP3 player is said to make sport lovers worry less about their device and concentrate more on their workouts. With its water resistant and lightweight design, the music player is ideal for intense workouts. Also, it’s endorsed by world-class marathon runner and US Olympic silver medalist Meb Keflezighi.

The headphone style look and lack of wires gives the device a more convenient fit, whereas it’s washable body and the fact that it’s sweat resistant makes it durable. Being a convenient and comfortable companion to users, the gadget is also the official music player of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series. Claimed to withstand any weather condition, the W260 series weighs 24% lesser and is comparatively smaller compared to previous models.

For easy transfer of songs, the gadget comes with the Content Transfer application which enables users to directly drag and drop DRM-free music files from iTunes for Windows, Windows Media Player and Windows Explorer onto the device. Furthermore, the quick charge feature brings in sixty minutes of playback from a three minute charge. On a full battery charge, the Walkman player can provide users with eight hours of music time.

The Sony W series Walkman NWZ-W260 series is available in 2GB and 4GB variants. Users can store up to four hundred and seventy songs on the 2GB version, whereas the 4GB model is said to hold up to nine hundred and ninety songs.

The device comes in two color options namely, black and white. Users can purchase the NWZ-W262 2GB model for $59.99 (approx. Rs. 2,670) and the NWZ-W263 model for $79.99 (approx. Rs. 3,560) online or at any Sony Style retail store and other authorized dealers. Sony W series Walkman music players will ne available from August, 2011.
