The Olympus LS-100 Linear PCM recorder that boasts of possessing multi-track capabilities along with XLR inputs, is especially engineered for musicians and audio enthusiasts. This portable metallic recording device deployed with 90-degree directional stereo condenser microphones, will be released in February next year.

The integrated microphones render response anywhere between 20Hz and 20,000Hz and facilitate capturing lower bass frequencies. With support for sound pressure levels of up to 140 decibels, the device allows recording extreme sounds, while doing away with the clipping effects. Its internal amplifier eliminates sound degradation and the low-cut filter cuts down on background noises as well as low frequency sound at 100Hz and 300Hz settings. A pair of quarter-inch XLR jacks of the gadget are capable of powering external microphones or can be used for tethering to line-output devices such as soundboards, keyboards, guitars and more.

“The Olympus LS series has been a favorite of musicians, artists and music lovers, and the LS-100 is an evolution in this series designed with the working musician, specifically, in mind. For songwriting sessions, band rehearsals, live performances, broadcasting, or really anything that requires the highest quality of audio recording, the LS-100 is an ideal, all-encompassing recording solution,” stated Amy Leslie, Sr. Marketing & Business Development Manager, Olympus Imaging America.
