Jawbone Icon HD + the Nerd and Companion for Android

Jawbone Icon HD, Nerd And CompanionJawbone recently released the Icon HD + the Nerd and Companion for Android. While Icon HD is a headset claiming to deliver superior HD audio, the Nerd is a wireless USB audio adapter which eases the process of connecting the device to any USB-equipped PC.

When both devices are combined, users can connect with any two gadgets like laptops, phones and tablets at the same time as well as switch between audio, video, games and calls. The Jawbone Icon HD is an updated headset with a wideband speaker that appears to provide crystal clear sound in Hi-Definition audio while users converse on the phone, hear music, enjoy movies and play games.

The device features the military-grade NoiseAssassin 2.5 technology which enables noise-cancelling. It lets users control the media playback with AVRCP play & pause. Available in denim finish, they are also allowed to listen to a podcast with the touch of a button while on the go.

The wire-Free USB audio adapter, Nerd eliminates the messiness of cords and lets users adjust the volume on the headset as well as the master volume control on their Mac or PC. When attached to a USB port, the device will automatically register itself and connect to the Icon HD headset. Thus users can listen to music, watch videos, play games or take VoIP calls sans any software downloads or the hassle of Bluetooth setup.

MyTALK introduced a new application called the Companion for Android to seemingly enhance the Jawbone Icon HD + the Nerd experience. This app allows users to remain connected while being totally hands-free and check theheadset’s remaining battery life on their phone. They can also dial-in to conference calls on their calendar, directly from their Jawbone headset.

The Jawbone Companion app can be downloaded for free from the Android Market. The Icon HD + the Nerd bundle is now available for a price of $139 (approx. Rs. 6,364).
