JVC HD Everio Camcorders with AVCHD support and CMOS chips rolled out

JVC’s latest HD Everio camcorders will support AVCHD as well as the MPEG-2 formats. This will now provide the HD camcorders with video-editing options and also help deliver high bitrate video beyond 24Mbps.

These latest JVC Camcorders will also include FireWire interfaces thus making it simpler to deal with MPEG-2’s HDV-compatible datastream. It also includes three new camcorders that are equipped with new CMOS chips.

The HD Everio line has new image sensors are small sized with high resolution 1/3″ and 1/4.5″ CMOS chips. This CMOS (Complementary metal Oxide Semiconductor) is enriched with interpolation technology which suits the JVC 3CCD cameras.
The three new JVC HD Camcorders are GZ-HD40, GZ-HD30 and GZ-HD10 with storage capacity of 120 GB, 80 GB and 40 GB respectively. The GZ-HD40 and GZ-HD30 support AVCHD and MPEG-2 formats while the GZ-HD10 supports only AVCHD.

The GZ-HD40, GZ-HD30 and GZ-HD10 are priced at $1299.95, $999.95 and $799.95 respectively. They are said to be available in August.
