Cambridge announces its first Blu-Ray/DVD/CD player that will release in early 2009. It has been designed to be a perfect companion to the Azur range of AV Receivers.
The 640BD player offers HDMI 1.3 video/audio, Ethernet, SPDIF, Toslink and dedicated 7.1 and stereo analogue outputs. It will be available in silver as well as black colors.
The 640BD player also provides bitstream output of all the latest HD Dolby and DTS surround-sound systems as well as internal decoding of Dolby Digital EX, DTS ES, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS HR surround-sound. It supports up to 1080p from Blu-Ray discs and can upscale DVD discs to 1080p video resolution.
The pricing is not yet revealed. Without speculating much, let’s wait and watch.
