Velodyne MicroVee – 1200 Watt Mini Subwoofer Unveiled

Velodyne MicroVee Subwoofer Velodyne has announced its tiny subwoofer, dubbed MicroVee. It has the capacity to rolls out 1200 watts Dynamic / 600 watts RMS of power through an ERS class D amplifier.

The company claims that its smallest subwoofer works on ingenious technology that includes Velodyne’s patented digital amplifier and triple-driver system. Measuring just 22cm round the edges, the MicroVee subwoofer carries high-quality materials, and the ribbed aluminum cabinet in black and gloss white color.

Other features of the Velodyne MicroVee subwoofer include:

  • Three-drivers: 6.5″ forward firing anodized aluminum cone (5″ piston diameter) 2 x 6.5″ side-firing passive radiators with aluminum cones (5″ piston diameter)
  • Frequency response: 38-120 Hz +/-3 dB
  • Phase: 0 or 180 degrees (selectable)
  • Low-pass crossover: 50 Hz – 200 Hz (adjustable), 12 dB octave, 48 dB ultimate
  • The Velodyne MicroVee mini subwoofer is slated to hit UK stores in September 2007 with the suggested price of £575 (approx. Rs. 47,440).
