iHome has come up with an innovative iPod dock system called iH85B specially meant for bikers.
The iH85B is a water resistant, impact resistant cylinder that houses iPod to mount onto a bike so one can enjoy music through a built-in speaker while on the go.
Users can slide the iPod into the iH85B speaker chamber apart and it fits snugly inside the center where it is protected from the elements. While one can still listen to music through a speaker located at the end of the device. Special inserts accommodate the different sizes of iPods.
To easily manage playback while riding, a wireless remote control is provided, that can be fitted into the other end of the device when not in use. Both the iPod bike speaker and its remote control come with mounting brackets so that users can mount them on to the handlebar of bike or a water bottle.
The iH85B also acts as a dock to recharge the iPod when it is connected to an AC power and otherwise the device runs on 4 AA batteries.
The iHome iH85B is expected in the month of July at the price of $99.99 (around Rs. 4,100).
