M6 Mini Player SE being developed by Meizu

M6 Mini Player SE

A few days ago, we had reported about MiniOne mobile phone by Chinese MP3 player maker Meizu. What was striking about it was its similarity to Apple’s iPhone. However, this time around, they have come up with a special edition of their M6 Mini Player which was released to take on the Apple iPod.

Meizu CEO posted on the forums that they are currently working on the Meizu M6 Mini Player SE which will be very, very thin. It will be just 7 mm thin! The current M6 has FM as well as video playback that is quite good. It is one of the decent multimedia players around.

The M6 was cheaper than the iPod Nano. The M6 SE will also be cheaper. There are speculations that the player will be launched in August 2008 for $130 (approx. Rs. 5270).
