Targus, the world’s leading laptop cases and accessories manufacturer, has unveiled its latest high-definition sound enhancer, called the SoundUP AEA03US.

SoundUP, designed for iPod and MP3 users, provides rich and CD quality sound of compressed audio files on portable digital music players via 3.5 mm headphone jack. Further, it also segregates and reprocesses digital music files that offer a 3D sound envelope from the user’s compact media player. It also has the ability to recreate the lost audio content and quality due to compression.

According to Al Giazzon, vice president of marketing at Targus, “iPods and MP3 Players represent one of the fastest-growing segments of the consumer electronics industry today. SoundUP delivers amazing sound quality giving consumers the ultimate portable music experience.”

The SoundUP AEA03US features an integrated Phantom Technologies patented circuit that has the capacity to improve the sound quality by up to 20-25 percent. It also reveals instruments and voices from the original recordings, which are actually lost in compression.

The latest Targus device sports powered audio-out splitter for two headphones usage, in-line volume control to control audio with ease and 1 AAA battery.

The Targus SoundUP AEA03US comes with the price tag of $39.99 (approx. Rs. 1600) and is available in black and silver color. Its launch date is still not disclosed.
