Archos has introduced its fifth generation personal media players (PMP) with Wi-Fi capability. The newly launched media players also allow users to download content directly from the internet.
The Archos 605 is as sleek as 15mm and is incorporated with 4.3in high def 800×480 pixel touch screen. Memory of the media player ranges from 4GB to 30GB.
Moreover, it can store and play a range of movies, photos, videos and music with the added capacity to playback recordings from TV. It can also play Adobe Flash-based video wirelessly. Also, Archos 605 is the first personal players to play YouTube videos.
The Archos Content Portal allows users to download movies at a rate of around 20 minutes for an average film. Also users get various options to personalize their media player with a large range of plug-ins, including weather, calculator and games widgets and add-ons such as video podcasting.

The Archos Generation 5 also includes two other media players namely 105 and 405, having a capacity of 2GB each.
