There was a time when Philips was regarded as one of the best radio makers in the world. However, times have changed and digital audio players have replaced radios and Apple has replaced Philips. But Philips is refusing to bow down. It has just introduced the SA3100 series of digital audio players, which has a 1.8″ 65k color LCD display and a photo viewer.
SA3100 features integrated FM radio and a voice recorder. One thing that makes it special is its ability to play SMV videos. Most players do not play that particular format. The only drawback would be the battery as it gives only ten hours of music and two hours for video.
Philips will unleash the SA3100 in two variants, the 1GB SA3114 and 2GB SA3124 that will cost 70 Euros (approx. Rs. 3900) and 100 Euros (approx. Rs. 5600) respectively.
