Adapta mouse sports an unusual form factor

Adapta Mouse By Yanko Designs To save perpetual computer users from the hazards of constant mouse usage, the ergonomically designed Adapta mouse is up for consideration. Keeping in mind the natural shape of human hands as they function and the physical problems faced by the over use of the conventional mouse, the peripheral’s design is sketched out in a rather unusual manner.

The construct of this mouse is apparently backed by feedback and suggestions from orthopedic doctors and is inspired. Designer Ryo Yoshimi is touted to spent three years on studying the shape of the human grip and crafted over 100 prototypes by using clay or styroform in the process to reach the final product.

According to orthopedic opinion, conventional mice demand for constantly extended position of the fingers which can be stressful. On the other hand, the quirkily crafted gadget allows users to work with their hands in a more relaxed position made by standing the palm face. This is a wireless mouse which does not resemble one at all. It is rather shaped more like a bird face and looks like an iceberg sculpture. Nonetheless, the appearance of this wireless gadget is pretty classy and stylish.

The exterior of the device is coated with silicon, while there is a layer of plastic sheet directly underneath it. The click switches are installed within all of the layers. This arrangement makes it easy to use by most hand shapes and sizes. According to the maker, all hands posses differing grip shapes and thus the mouse provides effortless use to most consumers.

The Adapta mouse surfaced on Yanko Design appears to be in the concept stage for now.
