The LG LSM-100 ‘Just Drag and Share’ mouse scanner which was showcased back in August at the IFA 2011 is now up for grabs in India. The innovative peripheral boasting of scanning capabilities within its compact form factor claims to be the first of its kind to hit store shelves.
The convenient to use mouse is integrated with a scanner. It is said to be deployed with exclusive technology as well as a range of unique functions to deliver performance similar to the conventional non-portable scanners. The rodent is embedded with a Smart Scan button on the left side. Users need to hold down the button while swiping the peripheral over the material which is to be scanned. Free size scanning up to A3 size is supported by this innovative mouse.

Users have an option to save the scanned files in various formats such as png, jpg, tiff, bmp, pdf, xls and doc or simply drag and drop into an application. These scanned files can be edited in Microsoft Word with the help of its optical character recognition (OCR) technology. Additionally, these files can also be attached to emails or uploaded on social networking websites. Some other attributes include superior resolution, lighting, text conversion at a faster rate and more.
The LG LSM-100 ‘Just Drag and Share’ mouse scanner is available at leading retail stores for a price of Rs. 3,500.
