Epson sculpts new BrightLink 455Wi interactive projector

BrightLink 455Wi Epson has always enriched the technological space with innovative solutions and was last spotted unleashing its ES1000 ultra-portable tabletop projection screen. The company has now slid the covers off its BrightLink 455Wi interactive projector.

The offering can be seamlessly used with the wall mount or table mount which can be picked up separately. The device claims to be a suitable option for educators who can fulfill the requirements of their students in large groups, small work teams or individually.

“Flexible and adaptable classroom tools are becoming increasingly important to enhancing the learning and development process,” commented Claudine Wolas-Shiva, senior product manager, Epson America. “In addition to wall-mounted interactivity that has expanded educational options for teachers and students, the BrightLink 455Wi adds functionality that can create an interactive table, offering more advantages and a huge value to educators.”

When combined with a pen, the newest entrant offers an ultra-short throw solution for image size flexibility and enhanced connectivity options. The device also renders an extensive range of XGA and WXGA usable interactive areas, and boasts of 2,500 lumens color, white light output along with native WXGA resolution for effortless compatibility with widescreen notebooks and visual content.

The unit accommodates a pen tray, two digital infrared pens and wall mount hardware for flawless installation. Users can also snap up an easy-to-attach table mount separately. The height-adjustable mobile cart is carved out mainly for Epson ultra-short throw projectors. This solution sports a wide leg base, locking wheels and height-setting mechanism for distinct sized presenters. The latest height-adjustable wall mount delights users with easy one-handed operation.

The BrightLink 455Wi can be used with a specially crafted table mount to efficiently transform a table into an interactive table. When used with Microsoft tablet features and ink tools, the device will intuitively employ these tools for improved performance levels. Owners can benefit from the advanced speaker and microphone input, and flexible size setup. In addition, RJ-45 wired LAN connectivity offers remote monitoring and control through an IT network.

Besides, EasyMP monitor software enables individuals to use the projector as a broadcast system. The electrostatic air filter augments filter life by 1,000 hours for a suggested 5,000 hour maintenance cycle. The integrated closed captioning decoder helps users with hearing impairments access presentations with ease. Owners can use various controls like Instant On/Off, A/V Mute Slide, Sleep Mode and 1.6x manual zoom. Users can project photos, transmit audio and manage presentations from a Windows PC or Mac using a standard USB cable. The 3LCD, 3-chip technology promises to deliver vibrant colors and detailed presentations. The company has also rolled out the Brighter Futures program.

The BrightLink 455Wi can now be purchased for around $2,199 (approx Rs. 99,298) via select dealers on a state-by-state basis. The company attaches a cost of $1,699 (approx Rs. 76,725) for Brighter Futures. The height-adjustable wall mount and height-adjustable mobile cart will be up for grabs in May for $519 (approx Rs. 23,437) and $1,499 (approx Rs. 67,693) respectively.
