AMD has released the FirePro V4900 graphics card in the U.S. and says it is most suitable for Digital Content Creation (DCC) and Computer Aided Design (CAG) professionals. The hardware is touted to have several performance boosting advanced graphics technologies by AMD, including Eyefinity.

Paired with DisplayPort 1.2, the Eyefinity technology allows users to exercise multi-display options and supports up to six screens at a single time. To ensure that the lifecycle of this product meets the demands and standards of professionals, the concerned software needs are taken care of by Siemens PLM.

The unit is integrated with 1GB of 128-bit GDDR5 RAM, along with a memory bandwidth of 64GB/s which looks after quicker data access. A suite of different tools and applications is accessible, courtesy of Microsoft DirectX 11, OpenGL 4.2 and OpenCL. The GPU is to have been tested and certified by several software applications, which promises better stability and compatibility.

This graphics card will soon be made available with select products by Fujitsu and Dell, as well as in HP workstations. Currently available in the U.S., the AMD FirePro V4900 professional graphics card price tag reads $189 (approx. Rs. 9,281). It can be purchased through select online retailers.
